The 2021 emergency rescue drill for hazardous chemical production safety accidents was held at Baihui Pharmaceutical in Nanning Economic and Technological Development Zone.

To effectively fulfill the responsibilities for emergency rescue in production safety accidents, enhance the coordination and collaboration among government departments, and strengthen the ability to respond to and handle sudden incidents, as well as to promote the implementation of enterprises' primary responsibility for safe production, the Nanning Economic and Technological Development Zone held its 2021 Emergency Rescue Drill for Hazardous Chemical Production Accidents at the Baihui Pharmaceutical storage tank area at 10:00 a.m. on June 18.
This exercise was jointly conducted by the Nanning Economic Development Zone Fire Rescue Brigade, in collaboration with departments including Safety Supervision, Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Health and Family Planning Commission, and Traffic Police from the Economic Development Zone. Yang Guishan, Deputy Director of the Nanning Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech. Over 75 companies, including Baihui Pharmaceutical, along with more than 200 corporate representatives, participated in and observed the emergency drill. Zhang Naihan, Deputy Director of Production at Baihui Pharmaceutical, attended the drill as the company’s representative.
This exercise simulated a leak and subsequent fire involving the company's ethanol storage tank, with the company organizing emergency response measures and issuing timely alerts to neighboring organizations. Meanwhile, the Emergency Command Center for Hazardous Chemicals in the Economic Development Zone established an on-site command center to coordinate and manage the joint response efforts.
After the drill concluded, Deputy Director Yang Guishan affirmed the effectiveness of the exercise. Yang Guishan pointed out that this drill successfully tested the emergency rescue capabilities in response to fire incidents, as well as the coordinated emergency response abilities of relevant departments. It also strengthened the team and provided valuable hands-on experience for future rescue operations, ultimately achieving the intended objectives.
The emergency drill refined the emergency response mechanism for production safety incidents, enhanced the overall real-world emergency preparedness capabilities of the Economic Development Zone, and strengthened the coordinated emergency response capabilities among all departments and enterprises within the zone.
As the organizer of the emergency drill, Baihui Pharmaceutical not only identified gaps and areas for improvement during this practical exercise, but also laid a solid foundation for further refining the company's emergency management measures.
