On July 31, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission held a national meeting to advance the inspection and rectification efforts within the disciplinary inspection and supervision cadre teams. Liu Jingguo, Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the CCDI, and Executive Deputy Head of the Leading Group for Education and Rectification of the National Disciplinary Inspection and Supervision Cadre Team, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He emphasized the need to deeply understand and appreciate the immense trust and profound care extended by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee, fully recognize the critical importance and necessity of this education and rectification campaign, and earnestly strengthen our political sense of responsibility and urgency in tackling this task. We must seize every moment, push forward with unwavering determination, and demonstrate through concrete actions our firm commitment to upholding the "Two Establishments" and resolutely safeguarding the "Two Upholds."

Liu Jingguo pointed out that under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, party committees (leading groups) at all levels have provided robust guidance and support, while disciplinary inspection and supervision agencies at various levels have acted swiftly and rigorously implemented measures, leading to phased achievements in the education and rectification campaign. Currently, this campaign is at a critical juncture—when determination and intensity are most evident. It is essential to further elevate our political awareness, proactively acknowledge existing shortcomings, conduct self-examinations, and draw broader lessons from specific cases. We must deepen learning and education, consciously using Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to strengthen our convictions and forge unity of mind and spirit. At the same time, we should strike a balance between comprehensive approaches and targeted efforts, seamlessly integrating theory with practice, ensuring genuine study, belief, and application. This will effectively prevent the campaign from slipping into superficiality, dogmatism, or mere formalism. We must also intensify efforts to address identified issues, accurately pinpointing problems, thoroughly investigating leads, and vigorously advancing case handling. Upholding the principles of seeking truth from facts and employing sound policies and strategies, we must ensure that reforms are genuine and substantive. Moreover, it is crucial to reinforce accountability, with the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission taking the lead in implementation. Leading officials at all levels, especially those serving as "number one leaders," must dedicate sufficient time and energy to this effort. Meanwhile, supervisory teams are tasked with maintaining a pragmatic and rigorous approach to oversight. Finally, we must integrate the education and rectification campaign with the ongoing thematic education initiative and the overall deployment outlined at the Second Plenary Session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, driving forward both initiatives in tandem. Ultimately, the effectiveness of disciplinary inspection and supervision work will serve as the key benchmark for evaluating the success of this educational and rectification effort.

Leaders from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Supervisory Commission, members of the Leading Group for Education and Rectification of the National Discipline Inspection and Supervision Cadre Team, and relevant officials from the 16th Central Guidance Group on Thematic Education attended the meeting. Sun Xinyang, Deputy Secretary of the CCDI and Deputy Head of the Education and Rectification Leading Group, who also serves as Director of the Office, presided over the session. The meeting was held via video conference, with key representatives from five discipline inspection and supervision agencies—including those in Beijing and Hubei—as well as two supervisory teams dispatched by the CCDI and NSC delivering exchange speeches. Attendees included directors of ministry-level departments within the CCDI and NSC, deputy-ministerial-level inspectors, deputy secretaries-general, and heads of various units; leaders of the Education and Rectification Supervision Teams—both group leaders and deputy leaders; heads of stationed and dispatched institutions; senior officials from discipline inspection and supervision bodies at centrally managed enterprises and universities; and members of the education and rectification leading groups and their offices from provinces, regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
