Sales isn’t just an art—it’s also a science that combines "emotional intelligence" with "intellectual quotient." If you can become one of these four types of salespeople while working at a pharmacy, outstanding performance will naturally follow.

To be in sales, you absolutely must be a confident person.

Believe that nothing is impossible in your own mind—never doubt your company, never doubt its products, and never question your own abilities. Trust that you’ll surely win over your customers.

Never be afraid of customers' rejections. When salespeople encounter a customer's initial coldness or lack of enthusiasm, they should understand: this is simply the customer's instinctive reaction before they’ve had a chance to get to know you—it’s nothing serious.

Knowing that customers will sometimes say no actually shows they’ve already formed an attitude toward your product—after all, rejection implies acceptance. So keep pushing forward and keep trying. After all, if a customer chooses you, it’s because they have a need. Rejecting Western medicine doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll reject traditional Chinese medicine; in fact, sales success often hinges on persistent, repeated attempts to connect with them.

When encountering customer rejection, there's no need to worry.

To be in sales, you absolutely must be a proactive person.

The art of sales clearly means that opportunities for windfalls are exceedingly rare—after all, salespeople hold the vast majority of successful deals firmly in their own hands.

Customers ignore you and show no interest in your product—most often, this stems from them simply not understanding the product, or perhaps they genuinely have no desire to buy it. In such moments, the salesperson can take the initiative to introduce themselves, strike up a conversation with the customer, and build rapport by bridging the gap between you both. Ultimately, it’s your sincerity that will help earn the customer’s trust.

Remember, many successful sales don’t necessarily start with the product itself—learn to first sell yourself, and then sell the product. As long as you understand your customers' needs, spark their curiosity, and earn their trust during your interactions, promoting the product will naturally follow.

When it comes to sales, you must be someone who can endure hardship.

Many customers come to shop, but they don’t quite trust the young salespeople—and some even doubt their professionalism.

So, the new salesperson must humbly seek advice and patiently learn. On one hand, cultivate the habit of "asking more questions," and on the other, develop the habit of "listening more attentively." By delving deeper into both professional knowledge and sales skills—and by working harder than others—you can steadily enhance your personal capabilities and consistently improve your sales performance. After all, it’s through diligence that you can make up for any shortcomings you may have.

Remember, improving performance isn’t something that happens overnight—it’s influenced by factors like social experience, professional expertise, and sales skills. That’s why it’s challenging to achieve strong sales results in the short term. Instead, start with the basics and focus on small, actionable steps. After all, sometimes it’s the little details in sales that make all the difference.

When it comes to sales, you must be a trustworthy person.

In the solitary process of interacting with customers, in addition to employing effective sales techniques, it's also crucial to become someone customers can trust.

When you're in sales, you must strictly adhere to the company's code of conduct and business philosophy. Never engage in actions that harm others for your own benefit. If there’s something you can’t deliver, don’t make promises in the first place—but once you’ve committed, be absolutely determined to follow through. Only then can you earn customers’ trust and win their genuine appreciation.
